PADDLE N PAINT TOUR 3+ hours $90

The beautiful Hudson River truly inspires creativity. Painting in the open air enhances your experience on the water by combining your artist's eye and a kayak tour to a beautiful locale. We will provide the paddling and art equipment. Jack Mattera will accompany you to help guide your process.

CREEPY COLD SPRING SUP (or kayak) 2 hours $0-$65 pending equipment needed
October 26 @4:30pm Costumes required!
We will be paddling to the Cold Spring waterfront to cast a spooky spell on the annual parade goers.
Free to those have their own SUP (or kayaking) equipment. Standard rates for those renting.
Please select "person" if you will be bringing your own gear. Rentals: please choose what item you would like to reserve (SUP, single kayak, tandem kayak). Everyone paddling with us will need to register so we can prepare for the proper number of guests.
This event relies heavily on Mother Nature's mood. Please use your best witch spells to ensure it runs!

Join the knowledgeable and passionate crews from the Putnam History Museum and HRE as they guide you on a fascinating history tour of the Hudson Highlands from the water. There are two opportunities to experience history from the unique vantage point of the water.
World's End: 2025 dates TBD
Join us and special guest guides from the Putnam History Museum for an unforgettable kayak tour from Cold Spring to World's End, nestled between Constitution Island and West Point. As we paddle, we'll cover everything from long ago geological history, Cold Spring’s life as a 19th century industrial town, the strategic importance of World’s End during the Revolutionary War, to Constitution Island’s uses as an Indigenous camp and later home of two prolific 19th century female writers.
Little Stony Point: 2025 dates TBD
Join us and special guest guides from the Putnam History Museum for a kayak tour to Little Stony Point, a site with ties to the beginning of the environmental movement in the United States. This tour will cover everything from the area’s early geological and Indigenous history to the Hudson Highland’s role during the American Revolution and Cold Spring’s life as a 19th century industrial town, to the area’s connections to sparking the 20th century Environmental Movement.

Erie Canal / Mohawk River Kayak Camping $360 per person
2025 dates TBD Ilion to Canajoharie Join us for a canal camping experience as we take in the scenery and explore Little Falls and St. Johnsville. We’ll paddle approximately 10 miles each day, work on some kayaking techniques (optional), then set up camp and head out to dinner at a local restaurant. Along the way, we’ll see beautiful scenery and pass through working canal locks, including the “guillotine” lock in Little Falls. This professionally guided trip includes 2 nights of camping (bathrooms & showers), 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners, and kayaking instruction. The trip will be guided by Hudson River Expeditions with lead guide, Don Urmston, who has guided the entire length of the NY State canal system. See Itinerary and Trip Requirements |

Enjoy the West Point fireworks display against the majestic backdrop of the Hudson Highlands while floating on the river with a loved one, your family, or a group of friends. It is like no pyrotechnic spectacle you have experienced with your feet on the ground. The tour will launch prior to sunset, allowing the group time for Mother Nature's natural light show. We will continue with some paddling before settling in to watch the riveting show.
